About Central Pacific Power

Who we are

Central Pacific Power is operated by Poag Enterprises LLC and owned by Ethan Poag. We provide complete, reliable generator solutions for business, entertainment, and construction needs: diesel generator rentals from 30 to 160 kW, new built-to-order generators from 60 to 1,000 kW, and generator repair and scheduled service.

All of our rental equipment is based on Oahu, and we serve every Hawaiian island, shipping to the neighbor islands by quote. Every rental unit is meticulously maintained and load tested before every use, and we are on call 24/7 for emergency power needs.

Meet Ethan

Ethan has been building and fixing electronics since he was around 10 to 12 years old, starting with Arduino projects and growing into hands-on mechanical and electrical work.

His generator work began on Oahu around 2016, repairing and maintaining generators for a farm on the North Shore. That work included converting a gasoline generator to run on propane, rebuilding a gen-set, and component-level circuit board repair to fix a unit that would not start.

He also worked as an inspector and repair technician at GovPlanet's Hawaii branch, troubleshooting and repairing equipment coming from Pearl Harbor, from generators to cargo trucks and earth movers, including diesel fuel systems, hydraulics, electrical wiring, engines, and drive trains.

Ethan went on to serve as Operations Manager at Boston Executive Helicopters, an FBO and helicopter charter company at Norwood Airport in Massachusetts, where he managed line service staff, fuel quality control, and the company's systems. He is also an FAA-certificated private pilot. He brings that hands-on mechanical background and operations experience to every Central Pacific Power job.
